Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born on October 8, 1968. She was Ainsley Hayes in the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne in CBS's police procedural drama CSI: Miami 2002-2012



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on the night of October 8, 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician, adopted her as an infant . She was also adopted by Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh. She was three years older when her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother is also adopted.



 



 Procter attended Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While she was at East Carolina University, she became a part of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was a weather anchor at WNCT-TV , in Greenville, North Carolina, then graduating with degrees from dance and journalism.
